Secrétaire à abattant
French furniture in the Directoire style (1815/1830).
How to recognize it?: The secrétaire is a high desk for writing, for keeping papers and documents, and, on occasion, for keeping precious objects.
History and typology: It was already about in the early 18th century, in which century it enjoyed its greatest popularity. A desk with a fold-out leaf for writing. When the leaf is in closed position, the desk becomes a private, secret space in which to keep what it is desired that others not see. Spice rack
Colonial style "Indio-Colonial" of the first decade of the 19th century. Made in teak with handles and adornments in bronze. Measurements: 1,13 m high x 0,88 m wide. The distance between legs is 0,77 m x 0,58 m deep. Price: 2.127,58 €.
